This Privacy Policy explains how brew.fit ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application and related services.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:
- Account information — phone number, email, or identifiers from Google / Apple Sign-In.
- Profile & health-related inputs — name, age, sex, height, weight, activity level, nutrition goals, and diet preferences you provide.
- Food & usage data — meals you log, photos or barcodes you submit for nutrition estimates, chat messages with our AI coach, and related memories/preferences you choose to store.
- Device & technical data — app version, device timezone, and basic diagnostics needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use information
We use your information to:
- Provide nutrition tracking, coaching insights, and AI chat features
- Personalize recommendations based on your goals and history
- Authenticate you and protect accounts against abuse
- Improve reliability, safety, and product quality
- Communicate important service updates
brew.fit is a wellness and nutrition tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
3. AI processing
Some features send content you provide (for example meal descriptions, photos, or chat messages) to third-party AI providers to generate nutrition estimates and coaching responses. We configure these services to process data as needed to deliver the feature you requested.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Infrastructure and auth providers that host the service (for example cloud hosting and authentication)
- AI and nutrition data vendors required to run requested features
- Authorities when required by law
5. Retention & deletion
We retain account and log data while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account). Deletion removes your account and associated app data from our systems, subject to limited residual copies that may remain briefly in backups or where retention is legally required.
6. Your choices
- Update profile information in the app
- Delete individual food logs, chats, or AI memories where the product allows
- Delete your account to request erasure of associated personal data
- Contact support for privacy questions
7. Children's privacy
brew.fit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards such as encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access-controlled storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. International users
Your information may be processed in countries where we or our providers operate. By using the app, you understand that data may be transferred to those locations.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of brew.fit after changes means you accept the updated policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
